COVID-19 Facilitation measures- Relaxation in procedure for in- Bonding of cargo imported under Ware House Bill of Entry

Dear Member,

We would like to inform that the Air Cargo Complex (Sahar) has issued a Public Notice No. 62/2020 dated 11th April, 2020 regarding relaxation in procedures for in-Bonding of cargo imported under Ware House Bill of Entry

Your kind attention is invited to CBIC Circular No.17/2020-Cus dated 3rd April, 2020 and Public Notice No.56/2020 dated 4th April, 2020 issued by this Commissionerate regarding measures to facilitate trade during the lock down period –Section 143AA of the Customs Act, 1962. Public Notice No.56/2020 dated 04.04.2020 issued by this office provides for relaxation of the requirement to submit the Bond prescribed under Section 18, Section 59 and Section 143 of the Customs Act,1962.

On account of lockdown due to COVID-19, the physical submission of documents and undertaking is not possible. Therefore, procedures for in-bonding of the goods imported under Warehouse Bill of Entry have been prescribed by the Air Cargo Complex in the Public Notice.

Members are requested to make a note of the above.
